Norah Jones- Don’t Know Why

Don’t Know Why
I waited ’til I saw the sun
I don’t know why I didn’t come
I left you by the house of fun
I don’t know why I didn’t come
I don’t know why I didn’t come
When I saw the break of day
I wished that I could fly away
Instead of kneeling in the sand
Catching teardrops in my hand
My heart is drenched in wine
But you’ll be on my mind
Forever
Out across the endless sea
I would die in ecstasy
But I’ll be a bag of bones
Driving down the road alone
My heart is drenched in wine
But you’ll be on my mind
Forever
Something has to make you run
I don’t know why I didn’t come
I feel as empty as a drum
I don’t know why I didn’t come
I don’t know why I didn’t come

Norah Jones – Don’t Know Why

Again

I thought I can love you again but the truth is, we don’t resonate my friend.

I’d like to say the universe makes us cling like lobsters

something I may enjoy to say.

I didn’t come to this earth to move backward,

although my sign is the crab,

I need new experiences…..

not temporary fill ins

you are not the one

I am ready for new outcomes….perhaps new wave lengths

‚ÄčI want to play volley ball at the beach while the sun sets. Fly a kite when the wind is just right, tie it down to my chair while I eat some fruit and count the waves. The feeling of the sand in between my toes, while soaking the sun rays . Dust sand off the blankets a million times, while writing poems in the sand turning into rhymes. Body surfing with the waves.  Yes that’s a beautiful day.
